5. Educational Scholarships for The Sri Narayani Vidyalaya
Program Goal: Provide educational scholarships for boys and girls at The Sri Narayani Vidyalaya School .
Program Benefit: This program allows Canadians Sharing to improve educational outcomes by supporting at risk students in an environment where 45% of the children are first generation learners from rural families. Several hundred students receive support each semester.
How the Program Works in South India:
We collaborate with a registered Indian Charity in the Vellore District of South India, Tamil Nadu State to improve educational outcomes for underprivileged boys and girls. With the help of our charitable partner The Sri Sakthi Amma Health Care Trust we augment existing educational programs in the Vellore District by providing scholarships. The Sri Sakthi Amma Health Care Trust is the charitable organization that supports The Sri Narayani Vidyalaya School which provides an exceptional quality educational experience for grades 1 to 12 to the local agricultural community. Approximately 45% of the students in the Sri Narayani Vidyalaya are first generation learners and Canadians Sharings support enables students to share their new knowledge with their family, village and community, creating positive change at a community level. Sri Narayani Vidyalaya identifies students that are in financial need, we review the applications and select the most worthy students. Our scholarships and applications are free of cost and anyone can apply.
